• And number three removable stick-on bar codes do not provide an effective method of Preventing Loss or assist in Asset Management.

Let me begin with a little background on our company. We started in the etching business about 20 years ago with the release of our first product, the MARK-N-GARD VIN etch system for automobiles. With the MARK-N-GARD VIN etch system, the serial number of the vehicle is permanently etched in all glass surfaces. A state police agency has been doing an 11-year test on the VIN etch system. They installed the VIN etch system on 130,000 vehicles and tracked them for 11 years. National averages would have dictated that 3,000 to 4,000 of those vehicles should have been stolen. In actual practice, four of the vehicles were stolen, three of them were dumped within a mile of where they were picked up, wiped clean of any fingerprints and abandoned. There was only one vehicle missing out of the 130,000 after eleven year's experience. The ID-GARD system is the same principle applied to plastic.

The ID-CARD system complete with all the bells and whistles is only available through our organization. We were the first to pioneer this concept and remain the sole source for this product.

This system will enable you to permanently mark each item to be protected with a PIN number (Personal Identification (Number) which will not be repeated within our system.

You will be provided with a tamper-proof label which will have your stylized logo printed on it, in color. In the center of the label we will etch our Worldwide Database Tracking System address, the PIN number assigned to that unit and a coordinated bar code will also be in place. In the event that someone removes the tamper-proof label, then they still have the web site address along with the personal identification number permanently etched, it cannot be removed.

We will maintain for a three-year period a record of your inventory which will be delivered to you annually as a cross check on your own internal inventory records. Service can be extended!

Should a piece of equipment become lost, all one needs to do is call up our web site address that is permanently etched on the face of the unit and they will access our Worldwide Database Tracking System wherein they would input the PIN number. And at that juncture, we would identify where that piece of equipment belonged or who it belonged to.

Through the use of bar codes and scanners, the labor intensive job of your annual inventory will be reduced.

If you are presently tracking equipment at different site, the annual inventory hard copy will be forwarded to the different sites, by Federal Express delivery.

Our annual printout will serve as a cross check on each of your sites.

- The bar coded ID label will be on the face of the protected equipment, making scanning problem-free. You will not have to disturb sensitive connections. The highly visible label will clearly identify our protection system. ID-Gard System warning Signage will be placed at entry points of the facilities.
